7th and 8th grade students may audition for All County Band. Students individually appear
before a judge who listens to required scales, arpeggios, and etude. Students also are required to sight read a selection.
The judge rates the student and the top performers from Hurricane Middle, Winfield, Poca and George Washington are chosen
to participate in the All County Band.
Selected students are excused from class for 2 half days to rehearse for the concert.
All students who have ever been involved with All County Band have enjoyed the experience. Students who are accepted
into the band will also receive an award button.
